IKEA PH draws laughs with now-viral Valentine’s Day promo that can be availed in October

IKEA Philippines went viral on social media shortly after the release of its Valentine’s Day promo that can be availed months later.

The deal has something to do with its SUNDVIK crib. If you’re an IKEA Family Club member and you decide to grab this offering on Oct. 14, months after the romance-filled celebration, the home furnishing brand would be happy to triple your IKEA Family points upon purchase. This is “to help you start creating your own family.” 

“Happy After-Valentine’s Day!” IKEA PH captioned the promo post with the hashtag #NoRegrets and a baby emoji. It drew laughs from many Filipinos, who found the offer “on-point” and “witty.” 

“I see what you did there, IKEA!” a netizen wrote in the comment section.

Another one pointed out that it’s “one of the best ads I’ve seen.”

A Facebook user also said: “The marketing team deserves a raise for this ad.”

As of this writing, the post has generated over 48,000 reactions, 2,700 comments, and 17,000 shares. 

IKEA opened its first store in the Philippines on Nov. 25, nine weeks after the launch of its online store. Just recently, it has put up new collection points in Pampanga and Cebu to cater to more home lovers in the country.
