Erwan Heussaff makes menudo with lots of capsicum for wife Anne Curtis' birthday
Erwan Heussaff knows his wife Anne Curtis is a meme queen.
In celebration of the It's Showtime host's birthday, the food content creator shared a recipe for menudo "with lots of capsicums."
ICYDK, Anne Curtis and Vice Ganda had a trending moment on the noontime show during a 2017 Tawag ng Tanghalan segment where they talked about the known Filipino dish. As they listed the ingredients, Anne suddenly mentioned capsicum, which stopped Vice Ganda in his tracks.
"Capsicum," Anne said. "Ano?" Vice answered as he put his hand on his waist. "Ano 'yun?"
"Red peppers," the 39-year-old actress said.
"Arte mo! Wala namang ganyan sa karinderya namin. Baka mapa-away pa ako. Baka mabatukan ako," the comedian joked.
To celebrate the moment, Erwan shared a video where he made menudo with two cups of mixed capsicums.
"Mmm," he said as he tasted the dish. "My wife's a genius. That's actually really good."
"If you guys wanna see me do a whole cookbook on Anne Curtis' recipes, let me know," the James Beard awardee said.
Anne loved the reference to her viral moment, commenting "HAHAHAHAHA! Seeeeeee!!!! 😍❤ thanks for having my back love!"
The Multimedia Superstar celebrated her 39th birthday on February 17th with a barefaced photoshoot with celebrity photographer BJ Pascual. She also spent the day in Melbourne to watch Taylor Swift's Eras Tour in Australia alongside Martine Ho, Nicole Warne, and Isabel Daza.
In reference to another memed moment on It's Showtime, Anne has invited overseas Filipino workers who are coming home this February to watch the noontime show live on Feb. 24.
"Thank you for all the birthday greetings!! [Sa] mga mahal kong OFW na nakauwi sa birthday ko, see you sa 24 sa [Showtime.] Sa mga sad dahil hindi nakauwi, big hugs! Mahal ko po kayo!" she wrote on X (formerly Twitter).
