McDonald’s Christmas Lights Magic brings happiness and vibrancy to the holidays

Published Dec 18, 2023 11:00 am

McDonald’s Philippines has brought in the holiday feeling via its Christmas Lights Magic with bigger, better, and brighter installations compared to its previous editions.

Launched on Nov. 29, the “Icy Wonderland” theme in McDonald’s McKinley West Taguig features an awe-inspiring array of color-changing lights and white lights that resemble window frames with Christmas elements like snowflakes, ball ornaments, and parols.

Unlike its 2021 and 2022 editions that were only set up in drive-thru lanes of select branches, the 2023 spectacle stretches all the way to the facade of the store.

Joining the celebration and ribbon-cutting ceremony were McDonald’s Philippines President and CEO Kenneth S. Yang and his wife, Cindy Yang, Coca-Cola Philippines President and Vice President for Franchise East Region for Asia South Pacific Operating Unit Tony Del Rosario, Megaworld COO Lourdes Gutierrez-Alfonso, McDonald’s Philippines Local Store Marketing Director Fidel Balbieran, Taguig Councilor Jomil Cerna, and Barangay Captain of Barangay Fort Bonifacio, Jorge Bocobo.

Hosted by JC Tevez, the media launch of the annual light show was made more festive with a musical number by Empress Tribe de Manila, which spread holiday cheer with drum beats.

McDonald’s Christmas Lights Magic will run until Jan. 2. Aside from Taguig, the fast food restaurant is also setting the holiday mood in the drive-thru areas of two other stores: McDonald’s Southwoods, Laguna and McDonald’s Capital Town, Pampanga.

To get their customers into the Christmas spirit even further, McDonald’s Philippines is bringing back two much-loved McFlurry flavors—Matcha Oreo and Strawberry Oreo McFlurry—for a limited time.

The fast-food chain is also offering color-changing Coca-Cola cups, which come in six vibrant colors and are available for a limited time at any McDonald’s store via front counter, drive-thru, or McDelivery.
