12 billionaires under 30 that made it to Forbes 2022 list
Forbes just unveiled its World’s Billionaires list of 2022, and 12 individuals below 30 years old made it into the elite lineup—with the youngest one at 19.
In Forbes's billionaire list composed of 2,668 individuals, Kevin David Lehmann was named as the youngest three-comma club member for the second straight year, with a net worth of $2.4 billion.
Lehmann just inherited half of the stakes of Germany's largest drug store chain dm-drogerie markt from his father Guenther Lehmann. Founded in 1973, "DM" has over 3,700 branches and 62,000 employees and reportedly generates $12 billion in annual revenue.
The father and son, however, are neither involved in its daily operations.
Gary Wang, 28, is the richest among the list's twenty-something billionaires, with a net worth of $5.9 billion. Wang's the co-founder and chief technology officer of FTX, a cryptocurrency exchange based in the Bahamas.
Also joining Wang on the list are billionaire Stanford University dropouts Ryan Breslow (27) of Bolt, a one-click checkout payment software e-commerce company ($2 billion) as well as Pedro Franceschi (25) and Henrique Dubugras (26) who both founded corporate credit-card start-up Brex. The duo has a net worth of $1.5 billion each.
Here are all the 10-digit earners of Forbes's under-30 billionaire list, ranked from oldest to youngest. Altogether, they're worth $25.8 billion, which accounts for about 0.5% of the entire roster.
