Celebrity fortune-teller Aurea Erfelo better known as Madam Auring has passed away at 80, her grandson confirmed.

In a Facebook post, Simon Pecson shared the news saying, "#RestInPeace my Lola."

"Grabe ang pinag daanan mo during your senior years pero you still worked hard for your family (us) i feel sad and happy," he added. "Sad kasi i will never see you again, mga wisdom words mo, korni jokes, happy bondings, and pagkurot sa aking pisngi hanggang mamula."

"Happy ako kasi you have done everything you could to make us feel loved the way you know how, your struggles are over. You fought your battles silently. Magkikita na kayo ni Mama sa kabilang buhay. You shall always be in our hearts. Love you."

Pecson, as tribute, followed with a photo of a younger Erfelo on his account. Although, he and the rest of Erfelo's family have yet to disclose the reason behind her passing.

Madam Auring, who used tarot cards in her readings, saw her popularity shoot up in the 70s. This, after supposedly predicting the win of Spain’s Amparo Muñoz as Miss Universe 1974 then held in Manila and that of Muhammad Ali in his fight with Joe Frazier in 1975.

Erfelo then penetrated the biz, reading for many personalities and magazine shows over time. As any celebs have, she went through a controversy-riddled path (counting rifts and relationships) that only made her journey more colorful and perhaps more iconic.
