Modern barongs, Filipinianas, and artsy crafts: What to expect from ArteFino Festival 2023
Time to shop local! The biggest artisanal fair ArteFino is back, and it will showcase over a hundred exhibitors for you to shop from.
This year, ArteFino Festival is set to take place at The Fifth at Rockwell and at North Court at Power Plant Mall in Makati City from Aug. 24 to 27. It will feature more than 150 local brands in fashion, home, design, and lifestyle categories.
Anchoring to the theme, “Reuse Repurpose, and Regenerate,” ArteFino further promotes its annual advocacy of sustainable living while at the same time paying homage to the country’s rich history of craft incorporated in the modern trends, as seen in stylish Filipinianas and barongs, and decors carefully made by our local artisans.
“Over the years, we’ve seen the market grow. Younger consumers are now more conscious about purchasing locally-made products that create positive impact–socially, environmentally, and culturally.” said its founders.
Some of the participating brands are Pinas Sadya, which takes pride in uniquely designed fashion pieces using local textiles; Farah Abu who is known for vibrant and maximalist style accessories; and Tagpi, a clothing brand loved by former vice president Leni Robredo.
There are also dedicated booths for kid’s fashion and for your stationery needs.
Meanwhile, Ram Lopez-Vito Bucoy curated “The Barracks,” a dedicated corner for men’s fashion, showcasing 12 emerging Filipino brands which will give a fresh take on men’s fashion.
There will be also an ArteFino Finds booth featuring specially handpicked items by the ArteFino team themselves.
Aside from fashion and home décor pieces, you can also find hearty and homemade Filipino delicacies from brands like The Seven Pantry and Gourmet Garage.
The festival will also have a Maker’s Lab, wherein it encourages a creative community by doing an upcycle challenge guided by the theme, “The Modern Filipino’s Pamana.”
“The previous Maker’s Lab resulted in inspired output from our makers. This year, we want to highlight this, especially since the theme pushes our maker’s creativity and vision,” they said. The Maker’s Lab will take place at Edades Lounge (near Zara) from Aug. 19 to 27.
ArteFino Festival will be open daily from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. (Monday to Friday), 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. (Saturday), and 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. (Sunday).
