TRENDING: LRT-1 make rounds on social media anew for another wrong signage
They've done it again! The Light Rail Transit Line 1 has made rounds on social media after eagle-eyed social media users spotted another signage mishap.
The said signage, found at the Pedro Gil station in Taft, was missing the word "the" in the "University of the Philippines Manila,” written below “Taft Avenue.”
“Diba dapat, University of (the) Philippines Manila? May kulang sa signage,” said X user @pauloMDtweets who reposted the photo on X (formerly Twitter).

Users poked fun at the signage's error in the replies on X and Facebook’s comments section.
“This needs to be 'investagated,’” an X user quipped, referencing the misspelled word in NBI (National Bureau of Investigation) at UN Avenue station.
“Taft, The Avenue?” another one joked.
Meanwhile, another X user suggested, “Pwede naman kasing UP Manila na lang.”
While it drew laughs, some users called out the company for the typo, saying that it was a “waste of budget,” and how they slack on proofreading before putting up signages.
“Next time po @officialLRT1 double check the words sa signages na nilalagay niyo para hindi po sayang sa budget po. It's the 2nd signage na may mali sa LRT1,” an X user wrote.
“Mahirap ba talaga mag Proofread?!” a Facebook user wrote.
Another X user stressed, “This and the investigation sign early shows the education state of the country. Kulang na kulang sa attention to detail.”
“Hindi nmn Yung signage Yung problema.. YUNG GASTOS!! DAMI KAYO FUNDS?” another X user said.
For their part, the management of LRT-1 acknowledged the error in a reply on X.
“Eagle eyes alert! Don’t worry, our team is already working on the signage. Thanks for helping us shine a light on the situation. Ingat po sa biyahe,” they wrote.
As of Thursday, March 21, the error was covered with black tape.
