LOOK: Sylvia Sanchez shares scenes from Maine Mendoza's surprise bridal shower
Veteran actress Sylvia Sanchez on July 24 shared snaps from the surprise bridal shower they organized for her future daughter-in-law Maine Mendoza.
A bridal shower is a party held for a woman who is about to get married, during which friends and relatives—typically females—present her with gifts.
In the video, Sylvia can be seen walking with Maine as they enter the room. Sylvia can also be heard introducing Maine to the grandmothers, aunts, and other relatives.
Maine is wearing a veil, a crown with "bride," and a sash that read "bride to be."
Photos also showed Maine receiving several gifts.
The bridal shower had a pajama party theme.
"Happy to welcome you to our big happy and crazy family," Sylvia wrote in the caption. "Soon!!! Mrs Maine Mendoza Atayde ka na."
"Cant wait for the Big Day," she added. "Love you, my soon to be Daughter in law."
Maine thanked the Ataydes, as well as the Roco and Campo families in the comments section.
"Had such a wonderful time with everyone. Thank you, tita… future mom!!! Love you," she said.
Maine's fellow hosts at TV5's E.A.T, dubbed the "legit Dabarkads," also held a bridal shower for her on July 22's episode.
Last June, Sylvia also shared photos of the Atayde family doing "pamamanhikan" at Maine's home.
Maine and Arjo Atayde got engaged in July 2022. The couple started dating in December 2018 but only went public with their relationship in January 2019.
