Attention, bibliophiles: Manila International Book Fair set to happen in September
Bookworms rejoice! Manila International Book Fair (MIBF) has announced its schedule for this year's much-awaited book affair.
Set to happen at the SMX Convention Center from Sept. 11 to 15, book lovers and collectors can expect a variety of genres and authors from different publishers and booksellers.
While details are sparse yet about this year's exhibitors and events, avid book lovers can start saving up and ready their wallets as discounts for fiction books, reference materials such as textbooks, and publishing services were highly anticipated in the affair.
Moreover, the organizers said other information about the event would be announced in the coming days, including the time, schedule of activities, and ticket prices.
Last year, MIBF featured over 100 exhibitors, ranging from mainstream and indie publications to university presses, academic publishers and distributors, and bookstores.
Since the pandemic, this is the third time the fair will be held in person. It had its first-ever online fair in 2021 due to strict pandemic restrictions in the country.
MIBF is the Philippines' longest-running and largest book fair, offering bibliophiles the most comprehensive collection of books, magazines, comics, educational aids, and more for over 40 years.
