GALLERY: Miss Universe Philippines 2024 delegates dazzle in their official headshots
Pageant season is indeed well underway in the country as the Miss Universe Philippines (MUPH) organization has released the official headshots of the 55 candidates vying for the coveted crown.
Among them are pageant veterans Miss Universe Philippines Charity 2021 Victoria Velasquez Vincent, Binibining Pilipinas International 2018 Ahtisa Manalo, Binibining Pilipinas 2022 candidate Stacey Gabriel, Miss Intercontinental 2014 second runner-up Kris Janson, and Miss Intercontinental 2015 first runner-up Christi McGarry.
Filipinas residing in international cities across Australia, Florida, Hawaii, Sydney, the United Kingdom, Virginia, and Washington joined the event, marking a historic first in the local pageant.
In case you missed it, the MUPH organization announced in April 2023 that they would be holding a new Accredited Partners Program for their succeeding editions, starting in 2024. This means that these accredited partners that the MUPH organization approved will select the candidates from their respective localities through local pageants or appointments.
The MUPH organization has yet to announce the date for the fifth edition of the pageant.
The winner will be crowned by her predecessor, Michelle Dee, and represent the Philippines at the 73rd Miss Universe 2024 pageant to be held in Mexico on Sept. 28.
