‘Game of Thrones’ actor Darren Kent passes away at 39
Actor Darren Kent, who appeared in the hit HBO series Game of Thrones, has died. He was 39.
His management Carey Dodd Associates announced the news on Tuesday, Aug. 15 in a statement on X (formerly Twitter) without specifying the cause of his death.
“It is with deep sadness we have to tell you that our dear friend and client Darren Kent passed away peacefully on Friday. His parents and best friend by his side,” the tweet read. “Our thoughts and love are with his family in this difficult time.”
In an Instagram post, the talent agency referred to Darren as “not only a talented actor, director, and writer, he was truly one of the kindest people I have ever had the pleasure of meeting.”
“It has been a privilege and pleasure to have been a part of his journey. RIP my friend,” it continued.
According to a report by PEOPLE, Darren is best known for his role in Game of Thrones’ 2014 episode dubbed “The Children,” where his character “presented Emilia Clarke’s Daenerys with the body of his young daughter after she was burnt by Drogon.”
He also appeared in short film Sunny Boy in 2011 as well as TV drama EastEnders in 2021.
