Elijah Canlas confirms break-up with Miles Ocampo: 'I'm always gonna have love for her'

Elijah Canlas and Miles Ocampo have called it quits.

In an interview with Ganiel Krishnan, the Senior High actor confirmed  on Thursday, Nov. 23 that he and the actress broke up "a couple of months ago."

"Sadly no, we broke a couple of months ago," he said, adding that his love for Miles will always be there and he will always be her "number one fan."

"I'm always gonna have love for her and always gonna support her with whatever she does. I'm always her number one fan, basically but right now we are taking our time figuring, ourselves and our lives right now."

Elijah, who headlined the film Keys to the Heart on Netflix, also revealed that they went through a "rough patch" recently because of some personal issues.

"It's been hard. Yeah, we're figuring things out," he expressed.

Last May 2022, Elijah and Miles went public about their relationship which actually began in 2021 via an interview with Ogie Diaz on his YouTube channel. 

In July, Elijah told Butch Francisco that he was hopeful Miles would be his last girlfriend.

“I always go into relationships thinking that hindi ako magco-commit into a monogamous relationship kung hindi po yun ang mindset ko. So yes. We’ve been together for two years and we are still having fun. Nandoon pa rin po ang isip ko,” he said.

When asked what aspects of their relationship needed work, Canlas said during that time that improving communication was unquestionably a top priority.

“Communication po talaga siguro… lalo na ngayon na we are spoiled with instant communication with social media, calls and the internet. Pero iba 'yung communication on a deeper level na isang tingin pa lang, mas nagkakaintindihan na kayo. I think nakukuha naman 'yun over time.”
