A man who stayed in a Nashville hotel for a business trip was reportedly sexually assaulted by the manager, who allegedly sneaked into his room and sucked his toes.

Local outlets, including Daily Mail and NewsChannel 5 Nashville WTVF, reported that Peter Brennan was asleep in his room at the Hilton Downtown Nashville Hotel when David Neal allegedly used a cloned key card and let himself in at around 5 a.m.. Neal then assaulted Brennan, who woke up jumping and screaming.

“I was in Nashville for a work conference,” Brennan is quoted as saying. “I awoke to a gentleman, an employee of the Hilton, assaulting me.”

"Went into sort of fact-finding mode. 'Who are you? Why are you in my room? What are you doing here?'" Brennan added. "I could see he was wearing a uniform, he had his name tag on. He was talking to me but not giving me any substantive answers."

Brennan then called the police. During questioning, Neal claimed he entered Brennan's room because of the smell of smoke. He also admitted to throwing away the cloned key card after being caught.

According to the police, Neal already had a criminal history, including forgery and a manslaughter conviction and has been put behind bars.

Neal is facing aggravated burglary and sexual assault cases for his alleged actions against Brennan.

Brennan is having sleeping problems since the incident and has been talking to a therapist due to "some post-traumatic stress disorder," The Independent reported.

“I still don’t really feel safe in my own home," The Independent quoted Brennan as saying.

A spokesperson for Hilton, meanwhile, said Hilton Nashville Downtown is "independently owned and operated by a third party," and no Hilton entity employs staff there.

The management said it's already working closely with authorities.
