International musical 'The Last Five Years' coming this September

The stage is set, theatre fans! There is a new musical coming.

Barefoot Theatre Collaborative (BTC) will be showing its first international musical titled The Last Five Years this coming September at the Power Mac Center Spotlight Blackbox Theater in Circuit Makati.  

The musical is written and composed by American theatre composer Jason Robert Brown and will feature real-life married couple, Gab Pangilinan and Myke Salomon. 

The Last Five Years is an international award-winning Off-Broadway show that explores the journey and emotions during the five-year relationship of aspiring actress Cathy and a writer named Jamie. 

The musical will be directed by Topper Fabregas with musical direction by Rony Fortich.  

The 90-minute show will run from Sept. 29 to Oct. 15.

Reservations for the first five shows are already sold out, but tickets for all remaining shows will be available starting July 29 through Ticket2Me and showbuyers.

Silver tickets are priced at P2,700, while Gold seats are at P3,200.

The Last Five Years first premiered in Chicago in 2001 and was produced Off-Broadway in 2002. 

BTC is a theatre company launched in 2022, starting with the musical Mula sa Buwan, which also starred Gab and Myke.  

Gab and Myke tied the knot last February, after Myke’s September 2022 proposal during the final curtain call of Mula sa Buwan.
