Malacañang Palace extends ECQ in NCR Plus bubble until April 11

The enhanced community quarantine in NCR Plus bubble is extended until Sunday, April 11, 2021, ad COVID-19 cases continued to spike.

Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque has announced that the Malacañang Palace has approved the Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases (IATF) recommendation to extend ECQ in National Captial Region, Bulacan, Cavite, Laguna, and Rizal.

"Pagdating sa ating health capacity na kailangan pataasin, dito sa lingo ng karagdagang ECQ, meron tayong 110 additional moderate to severe beds na bubuksan na po at magiging operational sa Quezon Institute," Roque said.

He added, "Pagkatapos ng one week, kung napatunayan na gumana ang PDITR (Prevent, Detect, Isolate, Treat, and Reintegrate) pwede na tayong mag MECQ sa susunod na linggo, pero titignan po muna natin ang resulta ng karagdagang ECQ."

As of today, the Philippines has logged 12,576 new COVID-19 cases, pushing the country's total count to 784,043.
