Lance Gokongwei steps down as Robinsons Land CEO and president, succeeded by Mybelle Aragon-GoBio
Lance Gokongwei is stepping down as president and chief executive officer (CEO) of Robinsons Land Corporation (RLC) effective Feb. 1. He will be succeeded by Mybelle Aragon-GoBio, marking a significant milestone as the company's first female chief executive.
Gokongwei, however, will continue to serve as the company's executive chairman.
In a statement, RLC thanked him for his "visionary leadership and invaluable contributions over the past year."
The company also acknowledged Aragon-GoBio in her new role, saying that her expertise will drive RLC's continued growth and success in the real estate market.
“With Mybelle Aragon-GoBio at the helm, we are poised to embark on a new era of transformative growth and innovation. Her commitment to synergy, customer-centricity, and operational excellence will undoubtedly strengthen RLC’s leadership in the real estate industry and deliver even greater value to our stakeholders,” it said.
Gokongwei assumed the role of president and CEO of RLC in January 2024, succeeding his cousin, Frederick Go, who was appointed Special Assistant to the President for Investment and Economic Affairs. He is currently the president and CEO of JG Summit Holdings and chairman of Cebu Pacific and Universal Robina Corporation.
Meanwhile, Aragon-GoBio has over 30 years of real estate experience. She has held key leadership roles across various divisions, including logistics, residential, and mixed-use developments.
As president and CEO of Robinsons Logistix and Industrials Inc., she established the Logistics Facilities Division and spearheaded the development of iconic projects like Bridgetowne, Sierra Valley, and Montclair.
Aragon-GoBio holds a degree in Management Engineering from Ateneo de Manila University and is a licensed real estate broker.
