Yulo initially eclipsed Japanese gymnasts Daiki Hashimoto and Kaya Kazuma. However, he was topped by China’s Hu Xuwei who received a score of 15.466 after performing sixth.
The parallel bars finals wrapped up Yulo’s journey at the 2021 FIG Artistic Gymnastics World Championships.
Previously, Yulo missed a podium finish as he finished fifth at the men’s floor exercise finals.
Even so, the 21-year-old gymnast made history as the first Filipino gymnast to take home world championship medals in a single tournament event.
