Miss Grand Philippines teases two winning crowns at this year's pageant
To mark their first standalone competition, Miss Grand Philippines is set to crown two queens at this year’s pageant.
“In the spirit of unity and collaboration, Miss Grand Philippines 2023 is proud to announce that we will be crowning not one, but TWO titles at our Coronation Night,” they teased on social media.
Taking pride as a “celebration of diversity and empowerment,” the pageant shared that they are in search of queens who will raise the country’s flag and will shine with “grace, beauty, and a strong advocacy for peace.”
More details including the specific titles of the crowns are yet to be revealed.
Aspiring queens can still submit their applications until May 31, along with their accomplished form, one full body, swimsuit, and headshot photos and send them to [email protected].
To qualify, candidates must be at least 5’4 in height, female aged between 18 to 29 years old, Filipino citizen, a Philippine passport holder, and have never been married nor had a child.
This will be the Grand Philippines’ first competition after Binibining Pilipinas’ withdrawal of its franchise in November 2022. It is now launched as a standalone competition by ALV Pageant Circle, an organization that also holds the Miss World Philippines franchise.
This year’s winner will succeed Miss Grand Philippines Roberta Tamondong, who finished as 5th runner-up in the international competition. The reigning Miss Grand International queen is Brazil’s Isabella Menin. Meanwhile, the Philippines has yet to clinch its very first MGI crown.
