Ana Jalandoni opens up about Kit Thompson's abusive nature prior to Tagaytay mishap
Ana Jalandoni shared details of how Kit Thompson subjected her to verbal abuse and violence before the actor allegedly detained and injured her in a Tagaytay hotel on March 17.
In an interview with Boy Abunda on April 2, the actress revealed Thompson manifested his aggressive nature in three incidents prior to last month's mishap.
The first happened at a time when they were traveling to Thompson's house in Pampanga. Jalandoni said it started with both of them having a good time while being quite drunk. This, until Kit began revealing his short temper.
"Mahilig kami mag [role play] ng iba't-ibang character, parang yun yung bonding namin. Tapos naglolokohan kami na about exes tapos nabanggit ko yung ex ko is from Nueva Ecija. Sabi ko, 'O, hatid mo nalang ako sa Nueva Ecija.' Tapos nagalit na sa akin."
"Doon ko nakita na may pagka-agresibo pala siya 'pag 'di niya nagustuhan yung sinabi mo," Anna continued. "Nagagalit siya ng mabilis. Ako naman, hindi ko naman inano kasi nagjo-joke joke lang kami. Siya, jino-joke niya ko sa ex niya. Tapos pinaulit niya sa akin."
"Tapos sabi niya, 'Ah, gusto mo bumalik doon?' Sabi ko, 'O, relax. Nagjo-joke lang tayo huwag kang seryoso.' Nagagalit na siya, dire-diretso siya magsalita ng mga masasakit tapos naiiyak na ko."
Jalandoni recalled feeling scared at that time, as Thompsom was talking to her with a loud voice and throwing bad words at her repeatedly. The actor then apologized when she told him she disliked the way he was treating her.
The couple spent the next months back to being happy in each other's company.
The next incident, as Jalandoni said, happened while Thompson was fixing the bidet in the bathroom in her house using a knife.
While working on it, Thompson began talking to Jalandoni about his friend who had a crush on her. They both began teasing each other shortly afterward then at one point, Kit asked her, "Ikaw, sino type mo sa mga kaibigan ko?'"
"Siyempre ikaw lang," Jalandoni replied before going back to teasing Thompson. "Yung kaibigan mo, yung may gusto sa akin, kung hindi lang kita boyfriend, ide-date ko na yon," she added.
Although Jalandoni intended it to be a joke, she said Thompson lost his temper. He held the knife to her throat and asked, "Anong sabi mo? Anong sabi mo?"
Shocked and scared, Ana replied, "Kit, joke lang yon. Ibaba mo yan." Although Thompson went back to fixing the bidet and remained silent, Jalandoni noticed how Keith striked hard on what he was working on until he eventually broke one of the bathroom's tiles.
Jalandoni then asked Thompson to leave her house, but he chose not to. The two made amends that night after discussing what happened.
The third episode took place one night while they were celebrating Thompson's birthday in Palawan last February, Jalandoni said. According to the sexy star, Thompson wanted to have sex with her after spending a tiring day at the beach. She fell asleep as soon as they returned to their room but woke up when Thompson slapped her on the face.
"Pagod kami the whole day. Nag-activities kami sa beach. Nag-dinner, inuman. Pagpasok namin sa room, gabi na yon, dumiretso siya sa toilet para mag-shower. Naidlip ako. Matapos siya maligo pumunta siya sa akin tapos sinampal niya ako ng gising. Sabi niya, 'Tutulugan mo lang ako, birthday ko?’'"
Jalandoni said it wasn't her intention to turn Thompson down, but because she was exhausted, she accidentally dozed off. They began screaming at each other and when she tried to leave to get some fresh air, she said Thompson wouldn't let her. He would push her away from the door and tell her, "Hindi, dito ka lang. Dito ka lang. Hindi ka puwedeng lumabas."
The two eventually calmed down and Thompson apologized to her, saying, "Ana, sorry, problema ko talaga itong anger ko."
She noted that Thompson was aware of his anger management problems but starts behaving differently whenever he gets drunk.
When asked what made her stay despite all the red flags, Jalandoni answered, "Mahal ko, Tito Boy, e. Trini-try ko siya tulungan, not to be fixed na, gusto ko siya tulungan, [but] gusto ko paintindi sa kanya na I know naman na may tiwala siya sa akin, wala akong sasabihin na masama. Pero pag nakainom ng madami, iba na."
According to Jalandoni, she and Thompson first met on Instagram, with the actor sending friendly messages to her on the app. After three weeks of chatting online, Thompson invited her to what was supposed to be their first date in Siargao. However, it did not push through because of their work schedules.
"Gustong-gusto na niya ako makita pero sa Instagram ko lang siya nakilala, e. So naiilang pa ako noon," the actess told Abunda.
They had their first date when Thompson visited Jalandoni at her house. She said Thompson was surprised to discover that Jalandoni was "koboy," outgoing, bubbly, and not snobbish as he expected her to be.
Jalandoni said she told Thompson that she got married in 2017 and separated from her ex in January 2018. Despite this, she said Thompson appeared to be nice and seemed to respect her decision for them to remain friends at first.
Not long after, Thompson was already sending her multiple messages, telling her to give him a chance.
Jalandoni heeded Thompson's plea. They were rumored to be a couple in November last year until they confirmed their relationship a month later.
She said Thompson introduced her to his parents and was vocal about marrying her in the future.
On March 18, Jaandoni was rescued by the Tagaytay police in a local hotel after she was allegedly detained and injured by Thompson in their room.
The actor was taken to the police station for questioning and on March 21, he was freed from detention after posting bail.
