All good things must come to an end, and tonight, Aug. 12, Filipinos are saying farewell to the adventures of Cardo Dalisay at FPJ's Ang Probinsyano.

Dubbed the longest-running series in ABS-CBN's Philippine television history, Ang Probinsyano has been airing since 2015 and has stood the test of time with its ever-changing yet relevant themes of law enforcement, justice, and the fight for good.

Not only has the teleserye solidified Coco Martin's name in the local entertainment industry, it has also hosted a number of veteran and budding actors joining its ensemble cast.

Notable names that have been part of the series are Susan Roces, Sharon Cuneta, Edu Manzano, Dawn Zulueta, Alice Dixson, Jessy Mendiola, and a whole lot more spanning 100 names in showbiz.

Coincidentally, Jane De Leon and Janella Salvador—the leading stars of Mars Ravelo's Darna, the series set to replace Ang Probinsyano coveted primetime spot—have also appeared on the show.

Starting from its humble beginnings during the first of its nine seasons (or five story arcs/"books"), Martin's Cardo Dalisay has done everything he can to triumph over evil and do justice to the country he serves every night at 7 p.m.

Now, netizens are turning to social media to bid their farewell and share their most memorable moments from the 7-year series.

The "ALTStarMagic | Angat Buhay" Twitter account gave thanks to the fictional character for giving fans "action, drama and values for the past 7 years."

ABS-CBN Community Head Eric John Salut also pumped up his followers with the upcoming last episode.

"7 years is 7 years!" Salut wrote.

Other fans couldn't help but address the many historical events that Ang Probinsyano has gone through, from Philippine presidents to the COVID-19 pandemic, to the Olympics and more.

"After three administrations, three elections, a historical Olympics win after almost a century, two Miss Universes, and more historical records, an era is coming to its end," a Twitter user with the username @luvm34a_reason wrote.

Along with the teleserye's epic action scenes, netizens also couldn't help but poke fun at Cardo's penchant for dying and coming back to life at opportune times.

In a poll by PhilSTAR L!fe asking what were the most memorable moments of Ang Probinsyano, people mentioned the main character's superhuman power to be revived after numerous near-death experiences.

"Nung di sya mamataymatay hahaha," one user commented.

"Yong mamamatay na siya pero nd namamatay, mag ask sana ako if saan ba siya naka bili ng agimat para doon," another quipped.

For viewers set to tune in, the official hashtag for the series finale is #FPJAP7MissionAccomplished.

Meanwhile, ABS-CBN Entertainment’s Mars Ravelo’s Darna is set to replace Ang Probinsyano's time slot. The Chito S. Roño-helmed series airs from Monday to Friday beginning August 15 at 8 p.m. on the Kapamilya Channel, A2Z, Jeepney TV, and TV5. The series will also stream on Kapamilya Online Live, iWantTFC, and The Filipino Channel.
