Rayver Cruz apologized for his overly playful behavior when he went on a livestream with his girlfriend Julie Ann San Jose.

An X user shared excerpts of the livestream where Rayver and Julie Ann were answering questions from fans. He was showing some unusual energy, even tapping her on the head.

Some social media users felt Rayver was distracting Julie Ann, even making her uncomfortable. Others accused him of being high.

Rayver took to X to apologize and explain.

"Sa mga na-offend sa kilos ko kanina sa livestream namin, sorry," he said. "But I was just being myself."

"Playful and happy talaga ako, lalo na when I'm with my love. She knows that, she knows me,” he added.

While he doesn’t usually respond to public criticisms, he noted that the recent accusations were on a different level.

“Una, hinding hindi ko kayang saktan si Julie. My mom raised me right,” he said, adding he usually touches San Jose’s hair even in past videos.

“[K]ung iba po ang dating sa ibang tao wala na po ako magagawa don,” he said.

Rayver stressed that he respects Julie Ann, her family, his colleagues, and his job as a celebrity.

“Hinding hindi ako gagawa ng makakasira dun,” he said. “At sana, matuto na rin tayo rumespeto sa iba at maging malawak ang pag-iisip. Salamat po and goodnight!”

Rayver didn’t speak up about accusations of him being high.

Julie Ann, meanwhile, defended her boyfriend in a reply to one X user who made such a claim.

“Minsan lang po ako sumagot sa mga ganto but sobra ka na po,” she said. “Below the belt and harsh na po itong accusations, please stop.”

Rayver and Julie Ann confirmed their relationship in November 2022.

After a year, Rayver said that though there’s no definite date yet, he’s certain that he will marry Julie Ann.
