New COVID-19 cases continue to breach 9k level
The Philippines has logged in more than 9,000 new COVID-10 cases for the third straight day. This is after the Department of Health reported 9,475 new coronavirus cases on Sunday, March 28.
This puts the country’s total active cases to 105,568, or 14.6% of the total 721,892 reported COVID-19 cases.
The DOH also reported 22,000 recoveries and 11 deaths.
This comes a day after the Inter-Agency Task Force on Emerging Infectious Diseases announced that Metro Manila and the surrounding provinces of Cavite, Laguna, Bulacan, and Rizal will be under enhanced community quarantine from Monday, March 29, to Sunday, April 4.
