Cop person of interest in Catherine Camilon's disappearance, in a relationship with her: Calabarzon police
A police officer is allegedly the person of interest in the disappearance of Batangas beauty queen Catherine Camilon.
GMA News, citing Calabarzon Police Regional Office, reported that a close friend of the officer reached out to Catherine’s sister, Chin-Chin, and informed her that they’re supposedly in a relationship.
According to the friend, Catherine was supposed to meet the police officer on the day she disappeared. The police officer was also the one who allegedly gave her the vehicle she used when she was last seen by her family.
Calabarzon Police Regional Office said the police officer has been temporarily relieved from his post pending investigation.
Catherine was last spotted in a shopping mall in Lemery on Oct. 12 at 7 p.m., hours before she was reported missing. She, however, last told her mother, Rosario, that she was at a gasoline station in Bauan.
The beauty queen said she’d go to Batangas City for a meeting with Balisong Channel, an online media company where she was a former talent. But Balisong Channel said Catherine didn't visit its office and was last there on Dec. 13, 2021.
Catherine joined Miss Grand Philippines 2023 last July. Aside from being a beauty queen, Catherine is also a public school teacher in Tuy.
