Here's how you can watch Prince Philip's funeral

Royal fans all over the world will be tuning in to the funeral of Prince Philip, who died on April 9, 2021 at the age of 99.

"It is with deep sorrow that Her Majesty The Queen has announced the death of her beloved husband, His Royal Highness The Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh," Buckingham Palace announced in a statement at the time. "His Royal Highness passed away peacefully this morning at Windsor Castle. … The Royal Family join with people around the world in mourning his loss."

The Duke of Edinburgh was the longest-serving British consort in history having been married to Queen Elizabeth II for 73 years.

When is the funeral?

A procession will occur prior to the funeral service today, April 17, at around 2:45 p.m. local time in the UK or 9:45 p.m. in the Philippines. There will be a procession transferring Prince Philip's coffin from the Windsor Castle's State Entrance to the chapel.

After which, the 50-minute ceremonial will take place at the castle's St. George's Chapel at 3 p.m. local time in the UK or 10 p.m. in the Philippines. As The Duke of Edinburgh's coffin enters, the Archbishop of Canterbury will be by the entrance. To begin the commencement of the service, there will a national minute of silence for the prince.

Who will be attending?

Due to the coronavirus, the palace has limited the funeral attendance to 30 people. There will also be no public processions due to the pandemic. Among the attendees are members of the Royal Family including Queen Elizabeth II; their four children and their spouses: Prince Charles and his wife Camilla, Princess Anne and her husbance Vice Admiral Tim Laurence, Prince Andrew, Prince Edward and his wife Sophie, Countess of Wessex; their eight grandchildren and their spouses; the late Princess Margaret's children; and several members of Philip's Greek and German family.

How can I watch the ceremony live?

Several British networks, including BBC, Sky, and ITN will be broadcasting the funeral live. Major television networks in the US such as ABC, CBS, CNN, NBC, MSNBC, Fox News, and PBS will also broadcast the ceremony.
