Sara Duterte tops Pulse Asia presidential survey

Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte has topped the list of preferred presidential candidates for 2022 in a Pulse Asia survey.

The survey, conducted from November 23 to December 2, 2020, found 26% of respondents preferring Duterte over other possible presidential bets for the 2022 elections.

Senator Grace Poe and former senator Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. tied at second place with a 14% preference rating.

Duterte topped the survey in Visayas and Mindanao, garnering 29% and 58%, respectively. Marcos ranked high in NCR with 20%. Poe and Moreno topped balance Luon with 17%.

Manila City Mayor Isko Moreno placed third in the survey with a 12% preference rating.

Senator Manny Pacquiao ranked fourth with 10%, while Vice President Leni Robredo placed fifth with 8%.

Trailing the list were Ping Lacson and Christopher “Bong” Go who both got 4%, Rep. Alan Peter Cayetano with 3%, Richard Gordon with 0.2 percent, and former Associate Justics Antonio Carpio with 0.1%.

Moreno tops VP survey

Meanwhile, Moreno topped the Vice Presidential survey with 17%, with Duterte trailing at second place with 16%.

Senate President Vicente “Tito” Sotto is in third with 13%, while Marcos and Pacquiao tied at fourth with 11%.

Go received 9%, Francis “Chiz” Escudero got 6%, Alan Peter Cayetano received 5%, while Juan Edgardo “Sonny” Angara, Mark Villar, and Jose Manuel “Chel” Diokno garnered 2%.

Pacquiao led the senatorial race survey with 62.1% voter preference, with Raffy Tulo placing second with 54.3%.

Sara Duterte also landed in Pulse Asia senatorial preferences survey with a 54.3% voter preference, landing her in third place.
