Twitter introduces long-form tweets for Twitter Blue subscribers
Gone are the days when tweeting your thoughts is limited to 280 characters for some Twitter subscribers. The micro-blogging site has just introduced long-form of tweets that can reach up to 4,000 characters.
On Feb. 9, Twitter announced on its two official accounts that its app now has a long-form tweets feature.
They wrote: “need more than 280 characters to express yourself? we know that lots of you do… and while we love a good thread, sometimes you just want to Tweet everything all at once. we get that. so we're introducing longer Tweets! you're gonna want to check this out."

They shared that tweets can reach up to 4,000 characters in one drop, but will still function as usual, such as posting pictures, using hashtags, or creating a poll.
However, unlike the standard 280-character post, you can’t have your long-form tweets saved as drafts or schedule them to post for later.
You might think that longer tweets may appear as an eyesore, but Twitter assures you to display only the first 280 characters with a “show more” prompt to view the full tweet.
According to the social media site, only Twitter Blue subscribers can do longer tweets, but they can be viewed and interacted with by all Twitter users.
They wrote, “While only Blue subscribers can post longer Tweets, anyone and everyone can read them.”
Adding, “You can reply to, retweet, and quote Tweet a longer Tweet, no matter if you’re a Twitter Blue subscriber or not. subscribers will be able to reply and QT with up to 4,000 characters.”
If you’re excited about this feature, a Twitter Blue subscription costs $8 (over P400) a month for web users and $11 (over P600) a month for iOS users.
Apart from longer tweets, subscribers can enjoy the perks of the edit tweet button, upload 1080p videos, reader mode, and the “novelty feel” of having a blue checkmark beside your name.
You will also be the priority ranking in searches, mentions, and replies to filter the visibility of scams, spams, and bots.
