WATCH: 'Lilo & Stitch' live-action teaser trailer released
Excited for the live-action adaptation of Lilo & Stitch?
Disney gave a first look at the upcoming offering via a 30-second teaser trailer posted on its YouTube page on Tuesday, Nov. 26, showing the beloved creature destroying a sandcastle.
The film, directed by Oscar-nominated filmmaker Dean Fleischer Camp, is a live-action remake of the 2002 animated movie that follows "the wildly funny and touching story of a lonely Hawaiian girl and the fugitive alien who helps to mend her broken family."
The cast includes Sydney Elizebeth Agudong, Billy Magnussen, Tia Carrere, Hannah Waddingham, Chris Sanders, with Courtney B. Vance, and Zach Galifianakis, introducing Maia Kealoha.
The movie is produced by Jonathan Eirich, p.g.a. and Dan Lin. Its executive producers are Louie Provost, Tom Peitzman, and Ryan Halprin.
The live-action version of Lilo & Stitch is set to hit cinemas on May 23, 2025.
