Car-Free Sundays in Cebu Business Park and Cebu I.T. Park

Starting with Cebu in celebrating Philippine Environment Month, join the Car-Free Sundays at Cebu Business Park and Cebu I.T. Park. Inspired by the success of Ayala Avenue-Makati's Car-Free Sundays, which commenced in September 2023, Ayala Land's Cebu Business Park and Cebu I.T. Park launched their Car-Free Sundays on June 2. This promotes sustainable lifestyles and livable communities by temporarily closing streets to vehicles, encouraging walking, cycling, and alternative transportation. The event takes place every Sunday this June from 5 a.m. to 10 a.m. 

During Car-Free Sundays, certain streets will be closed to cars, transforming them into vibrant and pedestrian-friendly spaces. This allows residents and visitors to experience these areas of the city in a completely new and exciting way. It's an opportunity for people to come together, socialize, and enjoy various outdoor activities, all while contributing to a cleaner environment by reducing pollution.

Rosas ng Sampiro Festival

The City of Makati is about to be infused with vibrant energy as it prepares for the Rosas ng Sampiro Festival, a celebration that pays homage to the rich cultural heritage and religious traditions of the city. This event, held in partnership between the Makati Local Government Unit and Make It Makati, promises to be a dazzling spectacle that will captivate the hearts and minds of locals and visitors alike. 

The Rosas ng Sampiro Festival holds deep significance for the people of Makati, as it commemorates the revered Virgen de la Rosa, a cherished Marian devotion that has been a part of the city's cultural fabric for generations. This festival is a testament to the faith and community spirit that defines Makati, as residents come together to honor their patron saint and celebrate the city's traditions. The festival is scheduled to take place on June 23 at the intersection of Ayala Avenue and Paseo De Roxas. 

The Green Run 2024

The highly anticipated Green Run at Vermosa is back for its third year on June 30 at Vermosa, Imus, Cavite, offering a sustainability-themed running event that gives back to the community. Open to runners of all fitness levels, the event features various distances including 3K, 5K, 10K, and a half-marathon. There is also a 1K Dog Run for pet owners and their furry friends to enjoy together. More slots have been added this year due to popular demand. 

The Green Run's third version has added two new partner-beneficiaries this year. The Haribon Foundation will be joined by the Pawssion Project, a non-profit organization that rescues abandoned and abused animals, and Takbo Kabitenyo, a running team from Cavite that promotes sports and healthy lifestyle. Registrants’ fees will support future runners from Cavite. 

In its third year, the experience will be even better as the whole Vermosa estate continues to blossom with new features. The Athletes House in the Ayala Vermosa Sports Hub is now accommodating guests, the FIFA-certified football pitch is operational and the new Ayala Mall Vermosa is now open with more food outlets.

This series of events guarantees a blend of treats, activities, and pure joy for dogs, creating an unforgettable experience for both you and your beloved canine friends. 

It's a celebration that showcases various breeds through a carefully planned calendar of PAWty Weekends, with each weekend dedicated to a specific breed or group of breeds. Make sure to mark your calendars and get ready to be a part of these paws-itively awesome festivities!
