Woman ends up with four eyebrows after botched tattoo procedure in Thailand
With the desire to look prettier for an upcoming trip, a woman went into a cosmetics surgery clinic in Thailand, but stepped out mortified upon seeing a new set of eyebrows tattooed directly above her natural ones.
31-year-old Nipapron Meeking was referred by a friend to visit a clinic in Rayong province, which offered affordable cosmetic procedures for the eyebrows. However, she didn't expect that her 1,500 Thai Bhat (P 2,340) eyebrow procedure would take a turn for the worst.
“I remember planning a trip with my friends and wanting new eyebrows to look pretty. A friend suggested a shop for me,” Nipapron said in an interview with Thai television channel Amarin TV. “After the procedure, I looked in the mirror and was speechless.”
Livid with the outcome of the budget tattoo, Nipapron raised her concern to the clinic's staff and was promised that she was going to be given a free appointment the next day to get her eyebrows fixed.
As if her experience wasn't bad enough, Nipapron came back to the clinic the following day, only to find out that it had closed down with the owners unreachable for contact.
For a year, Nipapron’s self-confidence plummeted to the point where she could barely show her face in public. It was then that her viral struggle caught the attention of tattoo artist Pattawee Phumkasem who later offered to remove Nipapron’s botched eyebrows and replace them with better ones,
Amarin TV's report shows Nipapron's journey in solving her problem with the help of Pattawee who managed to fix the botched eyebrows and replaced them with a pair that looks more natural and pleasing to Nipapron’s features.
"I had a terrible time living with four eyebrows on my forehead, but luckily I found this new tattoo artist," Nipapron said. "With this new artist, I can finally live a normal life."
