Once a Binibini, always a Binibini.

In celebration of its Diamond Jubilee or the 60th Binibining Pilipinas competition, the local pageant crowns—Miss International and Miss Globe announced that they are still with Binibining Pilipinas Charities Inc. (BPCI).

The confirmation came after Miss International spokesperson Stephen Diaz wrote about the contract renewal on his X (formerly Twitter) account.

"CONTRACT RENEWED. Miss International license to stay with BPCI until 2026," Diaz, who is also the International Cultural Association chief of staff and head director of MIO, wrote in X.

According to Diaz, BPCI always takes the three-year maximum of franchising the license for the pageant as "no country is allowed beyond three years."

For the record, the Philippines bagged six crowns in the Miss International pageant in 1964, 1970, 1979, 2005, 2013 and 2016 through Gemma Teresa Cruz, Aurora Pijuan, Melanie Marquez, Precious Lara Quigaman, Bea Rose Santiago, and Kylie Verzosa, respectively.

Recently, Nicole Borromeo was hailed as the Third runner-up in the 2023 edition of Miss International, following her predecessor, Hannah Arnold, who finished in the Top 15 in 2022.

Meanwhile, Frenki Bozo, vice-president and executive producer of the Miss Globe Organization, confirmed that the Miss Globe Philippines franchise also stays with BPCI for three more years.

"There is no truth in those rumors. The Miss Globe and Binibining Pilipinas have extended their collaboration for three more years," Bozo said in Adam Genato's vlog, he was asked by the former the verify the rumors about the Miss Globe not renewing its contract with BPCI.

The Philippines' placement streak in the Miss Globe pageant started in 2015 when Ann Lorraine Colis won the title in the contest held in Toronto, Canada, followed by another title in 2021 through Maureen Montagne.

Runners-up in the pageant who represented the country in the international pageant include Nichole Manalo, Leren Bautista, Rowena Lucero, and recently, Anna Lakrini in 2016, 2019, 2020 and 2023, respectively.

With all these, this year's edition will still have two crowns and runners-up positions for the 60th Bb. Pilipinas pageant.

The reigning titleholders Bb. Pilipinas- International Angelica Lopez and Miss Globe 2023 Second runner-up Anna Valencia Lakrini and runner-ups Katrina Anne Johnson and Reign Parani will crown their successors on the coronation night of the local pageants.
