Ready your tissues. Some invisible ninjas cutting onions are up ahead.

A German commercial is being dubbed as the "world's best Christmas ad" this year for being a tear-jerker across countries.

The commercial is for German pharmacy firm Doc Morris, though nothing in the short spot is about medicines. The story mainly revolves around an old man who decides one day, after a sudden realization, to use a dusty kettle bell from his garage.

Though he struggled at the start, he religiously kept at his kettlebell routine even as the season changed from fall to winter. His neighbors and even his daughter appear puzzled at his newfound passion.

Eventually, the story builds up to the conclusive Christmas scene where the story will then make sense.

You can watch the video, which currently has 13 million views, below.

If in case you are wondering about the words at the end, it translates to "So that you can take care of what really matters in life" and "Discover your health."
