The month of December is always a memorable one for students of the University of Santo Tomas (UST) because of its annual Paskuhan event—a culmination of the school's Christmas activities to celebrate the holly, jolly occasion.

After a two-year pause due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the UST has finally sprinkled its Christmas magic on Thomasians once again as it commenced the ceremonial lighting of its campus-wide decorations. This signals the start of the university's Paskuhan event to usher in the yuletide season.

The dazzling display of lights and ornamental lanterns hanging from the trees, as well as the awe-inspiring 70-foot-tall Christmas tree, all brought smiles to thousands of excited Thomasians who had been waiting for the return of the annual celebration.

They took this time to post some pictures at the university's most notable locations, such as the new tiger statue and UST block letters, as well as the magnificent Arch of the Centuries.

Of course, kicking off the Paskuhan event wouldn't be complete without a grand display of fireworks, and UST didn't disappoint as it filled the night sky with stunning lights for a fitting conclusion to the ceremonial lighting.

The last time that UST held the popular event was back in December 2019. When the pandemic started in March, it only held virtual activities to commemorate the holidays.

With the theme "Pananabik, Pagbabalik, Panunumbalik," this year's Paskuhan aims to bring back the university's well-known live concerts, bright lights, and festive spirit among its students.
