The Fort Strip in BGC to close on Jan. 1
The Fort Strip in Bonifacio Global City is closing its doors soon.
BGC announced on Facebook that the establishment will be shutting down on Jan. 1, 2025.
"This is goodbye for now but not forever. We'll be back. Better than you remember, and better than you can imagine," it said.
"Until we close up on Jan. 1, feel free to hang out at The Strip like you've always done! We'll see you there."
The Fort Strip is a hub of bars, clubs, and restaurants located along 5th Avenue.
Earlier in November, Nectar, an LGBTQ+ nightclub at the plaza, announced its closure, with its last day of operations on Dec. 31.
Other restaurants like L'Opera Ristorante have also announced its closure. In its statement, it said that this was to "give way to the demolition of the Fort Strip."
Additionally, FUGA Bar and Restaurant said it was closing down, too, due to "redevelopment" of the area.
In the social media comments of BGC's announcement, users looked back at fond memories and favorite spots at the Fort Strip.
"Prince of Jaipur [was] where I first started to host club nights/events. Great times! For me, it was the Golden age of clubbing," one user wrote.
"My childhood, teens and young professional days all in one place," added another.
Others recalled establishments they used to visit like Prince of Jaipur, Embassy, and Go Nuts Donuts.
