Prince Philip, husband of Queen Elizabeth II, dies at 99
Prince Philip, husband of Queen Elizabeth, has died. He was 99 years old.
“It is with deep sorrow that Her Majesty The Queen announces the death of her beloved husband, His Royal Highness The Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh,” the Buckingham Palace announced in a statement.
The price “passed away peacefully” at Windsor Castle according to the statement.
Prince Philip and Queen Elizabeth II had four children, eight grandchildren, and 10 great-grandchildren.
The prince married then Princess Elizabeth in 1947, five years before she became the Queen.
