Sarah Lahbati's family figures in car accident: 'We are all okay'
Sarah Lahbati, on early Dec. 15, announced that her family figured in a car accident.
“We were involved in an accident on the skyway,” Lahbati told followers on her Instagram broadcast channel at 2 a.m. “Fortunately, all three cars involved avoided any casualties, and we are all okay.”
The 30-year-old actress noted that she isn’t sharing the story for the public to feel bad for them.
“I’m sharing this story because this year has been the toughest of my life,” she said, “yet I am reminded of God’s goodness, His second chances, and His promises.”
“Things could have been much worse, yet my family and I are alive and well,” she added.
For Lahbati, they were given a second chance.
“Just when you think everything you worry about should be the center of the world, you’re reminded of God’s lessons, promises, and the bigger picture,” she said. “All you have to do is take a step back and let Him guide you.”
She also told followers, “La vie est belle,” the French expression for “life is beautiful.”
“Life goes on,” she added.
The news comes amid week-long rumors of Lahbati and Gutierrez’s separation.
The rumors began after social media users noticed that they’d stopped posting photos together online as usual, even as they’d been spending time with their kids separately.
Things got more serious when their respective parents made pronouncements. Rama said Gutierrez has been staying with her for a month now as she took a swipe at Lahbati for supposedly splurging while her son was busy working.
Afterward, Lahbati’s father Abdel, in his post about their family outing, told the public not to "mind dogs barking.”
Lahbati and Gutierrez have yet to address the rumors.
