Gone too soon: ONE Championship athlete Victoria Lee passes away at 18
Mixed martial arts athlete Victoria Lee has passed away. She was 18.
The ONE Championship fighter’s older sister Angela—who is also a ONE World Champion like their brother Christian—announced the news in an Instagram post on Sunday, Jan. 8.
"On December 26, 2022 our family experienced something no family should ever have to go through. It is incredibly difficult to say this. Our Victoria passed away," she began.
“She has gone too soon and our family has been completely devastated since then,” she wrote.
“We miss her. More than anything in this world. Our family will never be the same. Life will never be the same,” said Angela.
No cause of death has been revealed.
Angela asked the public for grace and respect during this difficult time for their family. “And please, check on your loved ones. Keep checking on them. Give them hugs and tell them how much they mean to you. You just never know," she continued.
According to a report by ONE, Victoria—a ONE women’s atomweight MMA athlete—“earned three victories in her ONE career, last defeating Victoria Souza via second-round TKO in September 2021.”
Rest in peace, Victoria.
