Here's how you can watch the 71st Miss Universe competition

The queens have arrived in New Orleans and that means the time has come to crown a new Miss Universe.

The 71st Miss Universe preliminary competition is set for January 12, 9 a.m. (Philippine time). Fans in the Philippines can stream it on the Lazada app, while international viewers can stream it on Miss Universe's Official YouTube channel.

This will be followed by the National Costume competition happening on the same day at 11 a.m. (Philippine time) to be livestreamed on the said channels.

For the main event happening on Sunday, January 15, 9 a.m. and Filipino pageant fans can catch the coronation night as it streams live for free on A2Z, Kapamilya Channel, Metro Channel, and iWantTFC from the New Orleans Morial Convention Center in New Orleans, Louisiana, USA.

Same-day replays will be available at 10:30 p.m. on the same channels. Metro Channel will also air more replays later in the week.

Meanwhile, those in the US can also stream the pageant for free via Roku, the Roku mobile app, therokuchannel.com, Samsung Smart TV and Fire TV.

The competition will be hosted by former Miss Universe Olivia Culpo and Jeannie Mai Jenkins, while Miss Universe 2018 Catriona Gray and Access Hollywood correspondent Zuri Hall will serve as backstage commentators.

Philippines' bet Celeste Cortesi and 85 other delegates are vying for the Miss Universe 2022 title.
