Kathryn Bernardo on celeb couples having kids: 'Respect the decision na iba-iba yung couple'
It has been a couple of years since Kathryn Bernardo and Daniel Padilla admitted that they are in a relationship. So the 25-year-old actress is already used to people and the media asking her and Daniel about their plans as a couple—including when they plan to get married and when they plan to have kids.
Kathryn admits she finds these questions awkward, especially when she is asked about having children.
"Actually, sometimes 'yun yung nailang ako sa mga tao na, 'di ba, ngayon parang tinatanong parati once kasal na yung mga showbiz couples especially, kailan kayo mag-anak?" she in a recent vlog with TV host Robi Domingo posted on her YouTube channel.
The actress said she wants to take it a day at a time.
"But for me, you respect the decision na iba-iba yung couple, eh. Kaniya-kaniyang time yan, e," said Kathryn.
Kathryn, who has been in a relationship with Daniel for several years now, said she is not a hurry to have children once she gets married to the 26-year-old actor.
"Ayaw ko rin mag-anak agad. Sinabi ko sa kaniya kasi gusto ko enjoy muna namin," she explained. Kathryn added that they want to do things they weren't able to do because of the pandemic first, before thinking about having children.
"Hindi kami naka-travel ngayon so 'yun yung gagawin. And then once I'm ready, once we're ready, no pressure naman na mag-baby agad after," Kathryn said.
Of course, Kathryn and Daniel aren't married yet, though the two admitted in previous interviews that they are already talking about their plans for the future, and that includes starting a family.
"Napag-uusapan naman namin ni DJ. I think nasa tamang age na kami para i-ready ang mga sarili namin ‘pag dumating tayo sa punto na ‘yon," Kathryn said.
