‘She is our greatest blessing:’ Elisse Joson and McCoy De Leon introduce baby girl Felize McKenzie
Elisse Joson and McCoy De Leon revealed on Sunday, Oct. 31, that they’re now parents to a beautiful baby girl named Felize McKenzie.
Joson and De Leon made the announcement in an episode of Pinoy Big Brother: Kumunity Season 10, where they invited Big Brother to be the godfather or “ninong” of their daughter.
“Kuya, kami po ni McCoy, meron po kaming isang napakaganda at napakabait na baby girl. She is our greatest blessing,” Joson began. “Nagpapasalamat kami na makabalik ulit dito and i-share po sa inyo ang magandang balita po namin. Naisip po namin na dito po kami nagsimula sa bahay po ninyo at malaki po ‘yung utang na loob po namin.”
“Alam po naming imposible makita ka pero gusto po naming tingalain ka niya bilang isang ninong or isang godparent na punong puno ng wisdom, kaya naisip po naming lumapit sa inyo,” De Leon added.
Joson and De Leon said they decided to announce the news on the reality show because according to them, it is where their love story started. The celebrity couple didn’t reveal when the actress gave birth.
Following their announcement on Pinoy Big Brother: Kumunity Season 10, Joson shared more heartwarming photos of her daughter.
“Life was uncertain before you came. I didn't know which path to take, the choices to make. I didn't know what to be, what I want to be.. Now, nothing is clearer to me than to be the best me, to be the best mommy, for you,” Josson said.
Celebrities like Ara Mina, Mariel Padilla, Ruffa Gutierrez, Arlene Muhlach, Awra Briguela, and Sunshine Garcia, among others, poured out their love and support for the couple and their baby daughter.
Celebrity mother Janella Salvador welcomed Joson to “motherhood.”
Fellow Pinoy Big Brother alum Melai Cantiveros-Francisco said she’s “very, very happy” for Joson and De Leon. She also joked about a possible name for the baby.
Joson and De Leon first met as housemates in Pinoy Big Brother: Lucky 7 in 2016. After their stint in the PBB House, they became known as “McLisse” love team and starred in teleseryes like Ang Probinsyano and The Good Son.
The celebrity couple previously split in 2019. The two confirmed they were back together in June 2021 following reconciliation rumors.
