Buying the latest iPhone will break your bank if your wallets aren't ready. Like previous models, the new iPhone 14 line doesn't come cheap.

Take the iPhone 14 Pro with a starting price of P70,990 for the 128GB model. A study by research firm Picodi.com found that the average Filipino needs to work 90.9 days just to get their hands on this new Apple device.

According to the company's iPhone Index, people from Turkey have to work the most days at 146.7 just to earn enough for an iPhone 14. The Philippines comes in second, while Switzerland comes in last, with the Swiss only needing to work 4.6 days.

On average, a typical Filipino worker earns P16,401. If they save up all that earned money for the purpose of purchasing the gadget, it will take them 90.9 days to afford the Apple device.

The number of workdays increased from last year's numbers, which stood at 90.2 days.

However, there are different payment methods to acquire an iPhone 14 such as installment or phone plans with telecommunications companies Globe and Smart. As of writing, telecoms and Apple authorized resellers have yet to release the availability of the new line.
