Jodi Sta. Maria graduates with Psychology degree: ‘You are never too old to reach your stars’
Her determination and unshakable resolve to reach her goals have allowed her to add another feather in her cap—finishing college with a BS Psychology degree.
On Wednesday, June 23, actress Jodi Sta. Maria shared on Instagram the good news with a photo of her in graduation toga beaming with pride.
“Success comes to those who want it. And sometimes you have to ask yourself ‘how much do I want this?’” Jodi wrote in her post.
“I dreamt of finishing my schooling every since I entered show business and today, after more than a decade, marks the fulfillment of that dream. After four long years, I am here graduating from college,” she shared.

Jodi, 39, took up BS Psychology in 2017 at Southville International School and Colleges in Las Piñas City. For the past four years, she has shared milestones in her studies, which include being a constant Dean’s Lister.
In early June, Jodi shared that she passed her grueling thesis defense. She said, “The sleepless nights, the sacrifices, the hours spent in front of the computer to source out materials for my paper, were worth it. Marching soon!”
Since 2017, Jodi has been juggling studies with her work as an actress and being a mom to her son, Thirdy.
“In school, whenever I faced a seemingly insurmountable task, I’d always push myself and say, ‘it can be done.’ I knew that God was with me all through out my college life and I kept holding on to his promise that I can do all things through Him who gave me strength and supplied me with more than I needed according to His glorious riches in Christ Jesus. God is always faithful to his word,” she wrote.
She also posted a photo of her Dean’s Merit award, which, according to Southville, is given to students with an average of 3.0 with no grade lower than 2.0.
In her post, Jodi thanked those who supported her through the years, from her teachers, her family, management team, to her friends. “Remember, it is never too late, and you are never too old to reach your stars,” she wrote.
Jodi proudly signed off her post, “Jodi Chrissie A. Sta. Maria, Bachelor of Science in Psychology, Batch 2021.”
