Billie Eilish opens up about how watching porn at age 11 affected her: 'It destroyed my brain'
For Billie Eilish, porn is the bad guy.
The 19-year-old artist revealed that she started watching pornography when she was 11 years old, which affected how she viewed her body and sex.
"As a woman, I think porn is a disgrace. I used to watch a lot of porn, to be honest," she admitted on SiriusXM's The Howard Stern Show on Dec. 13. "I think it really destroyed my brain and I feel incredibly devastated that I was exposed to so much."
The seven-time Grammy winner said she thought exposing herself to adult images would help her feel like "one of the guys."
"The first few times I, you know, had sex, I was not saying 'no' to things that were not good. It was because I thought that's what I was supposed to be attracted to."
She also said it impacted her perceptions of how bodies should look.
"The way that vaginas look in porn is f**king crazy," she said. "No vaginas look like that. Women's bodies don't look like that. We don't come like that."
On dating life and getting COVID-19
Later in the interview, Eilish also talked about dating, to which she said she's "not a serial dater."
"I don't go to stuff and flirt with people," the singer said. "It's really hard to meet people when people are either terrified of you or think that you're out of their league. Last year, I thought that I'd be single for the rest of my life. I genuinely couldn't even picture myself in a relationship of any sort. I got over that pretty fast."
Eilish is currently reportedly dating actor and podcast host Matthew Tyler Vorce. The two were spotted cozying up in Santa Barbara in October.
The Happier Than Ever artist also spoke about how she got COVID-19 in August and felt unwell for two months. She said she "would have died" if she hadn't been vaccinated.
