Paolo Contis reveals plan to marry Yen Santos: 'Bakit hindi?'

Paolo Contis bared his plan to take his relationship with Yen Santos to the next level.

In a recent interview with entertainment portal Bandera, the GMA-7 host was asked why Yen was not at the premiere night of his new film Ang Pangarap Kong Oskars. To which, he said that they are opting to keep most parts of their romance between them.

“Personal na buhay namin ‘yun, personal na lang naming ginagawa. I don’t want to put her in that position anymore,” he explained. 

Paolo was then asked about the possibility of him popping the question to Yen sometime in the future. While the Faraway Land star answered “yes,” he shared that there are some things he needs to deal with at the moment.

“Eventually, pupunta naman doon. Marami pa akong dapat ayusin,” he said, adding: “Oo naman, bakit hindi?” 

Apart from his new comedy film, the local star has also been busy with noontime show Eat Bulaga! and online talk show Just In. He, however, makes it a point to spend time with his girlfriend when he can.

“Masaya siya doon sa konsepto ng blessing na ‘to,” he said, referring to his projects.

“Of course, she has her own time also for personal things na ginagawa niya, and hindi na namin inaano ‘yung, kumbaga, pagdating sa trabaho, very open naman ‘yung usapan. Blessing ‘yan! Magandang problema ‘yan, ang madaming trabaho,” he added. 

Paolo confirmed his relationship with Yen in January and has since denied allegations that the latter was a third party in his previous relationship with actress LJ Reyes.

Third-party accusations began when Paolo and Yen were spotted spending time together in Baguio on the heels of his breakup with LJ. Paolo, at the time, said Yen was just there for him "as a friend."
