UP is top-ranked Philippine school in QS World University Rankings 2024
The University of the Philippines emerged at the top of the Philippine schools that made it to the QS World University Rankings 2024.
From 412th in 2023, UP landed on the 404th spot of this year’s rankings by Quacquarelli Symonds. It was followed by the Ateneo de Manila University, which ranked 563rd (from the 651-700 bracket in 2023).
De La Salle University entered the 681-690 bracket of the global education network’s list—ahead of the University of Santo Tomas in the 801-850 bracket.
The University of San Carlos also became part of the list in the 1,201-1,400 bracket.
The QS World University Rankings put the spotlight on 1,500 educational institutions in 104 locations around the world.
This year, they implemented their “largest-ever methodological enhancement” with the introduction of three new metrics: sustainability, employment outcomes, and international research network.
The Top 10 universities in this year’s list include the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, University of Cambridge, University of Oxford, Harvard University, Stanford University, Imperial College London, ETH Zurich, National University of Singapore, University College London (UCL), and the University of California, Berkeley.
