Gabbi Garcia is just "waiting for the right time" to join beauty pageants, she revealed.
On Wednesday, Aug. 25, the young actress posted a video of herself doing the TikTok "Questions I Get Asked Challenge." She was asked if she's Alena of GMA 7's Encantadia, what her height is, and if she ever wants to join the Miss Universe pageant.
"Yes!! Waiting for the right time," she said, answering the last question.
Garcia's beauty pageant dream is no secret. In fact, she even shared in several interviews that her fondness with beauty pageants started when she was a kid.
"When I was a kid I remember kasi diba dati ang beauty pageants Sunday's Best, 'yan lagi dati. Gabi pinapalabas, tapos may school kinabukasan. Lagi ako nagpapaalam sa parents ko 'Puwede ba extend, 10 p.m. ako matutulog, kasi I really wanna watch the whole pageant,'" Garcia answered a member from the media in a virtual press conference for her show IRL last year.
"Kahit after ng Q&A matutulog na ako. 'Yun ganong level. So dream ko sya, actually, but then nag-iba 'yung universe ng direction para sakin eh," the actress added.
At 15, Garcia entered showbiz and had several endorsements under her belt including Bench, Belo, and Carefree.
"For you to enter a pageant, dapat wala kang contract sa kahit ano,” she said. "Dapat as in wala kang contract with a brand, with a network or anything. And at this stage of my life, it's so hard to give up," she added.
However, Garcia is not closing any doors. She shared that being in the show business has widened her connections and heightened her interest in pageants more.
“'Nung nag enter pa ko ng showbiz, mas lumawak yung connections ko, mas lumawak pa yung world na nakikita ko. So sabi ko talaga ‘Mukhang kaya ko 'tong gawin ah,’” she said in another interview.
Currently, she is hosting a podcast titled Figure It Out with Gabbi & Khalil with her boyfriend Khalil Ramos.
