She’s a vision: Why Gabbi Garcia is the perfect face for LazBeauty

As beauty becomes more progressive in the Philippines, where makeup has become more than just covering imperfections, Lazada joins in the movement to bring self-awareness and authenticity through the launch of their beauty destination, LazBeauty.

Joining the community as its first brand ambassador and face of LazBeauty is actress and content creator Gabbi Garcia.

“At Lazada, of course, we try expanding our platform to more and more consumers. And as we grow the footprint, essentially we also keep expanding the faces of the Lazada family,” said Kitty Calderon, Lazada Philippines’ Head of Marketing.

Kitty said that Lazada chooses ambassadors who mirror the core values of the brand, the consumers, and the community, adding that Gabbi is the “perfect personification of what LazBeauty stands for.”

“She's authentic, she's confident, and she really continues to redefine how Filipina beauty is viewed today,” she noted.

Gabbi, who admitted that she once struggled to fit, shared that in order to be confident, she had to learn how to be comfortable in her own skin first.

“I have to make sure that I'm comfortable with whatever I'm wearing, with whatever makeup I'm using in order for me to feel confident,” she said.

Likewise, Kitty believes that being confident is the first step to creating greater things.

“When you’re confident, everything else follows. Your energy radiates and attracts people’s confidence and trust in you. As a female leader, trust is one of the most powerful things you can have. It’s the reassurance that you’re capable to lead things, you’reon the right track [and] that you can power through,” she shared.
