Extra income: How to earn money by making job referrals via GCash
Looking for ways to earn money other than your nine-to-five or business? Job referral via GCash could be your best bet, as the e-wallet's new feature allows users to earn as much as P65,000 for referring people they know to job openings.
In case you didn’t know, apart from its sending and investing of money features, GCash also has a Job feature, where you can find a job for you or for your friend, which you can benefit from as well by earning referrals.
Simply navigate through the app and tap "View All." Scroll down and click the “Enjoy” category where you can find “Jobs.” In there, you will find job listings in reputable companies with their corresponding referral fee, which ranges from P1,000 to P65,000.
Each user will have six referral credits per job opening, which can be deducted if a referee clicks the referral link sent by a referrer, or if a referrer sends an email to a referee.

How it works
Run through the listings and carefully assess if your potential referee suits the job qualifications—this is very important as you will not earn a referral fee by simply sending out links or emails. Your referee must be hired and should stay a certain amount of time before you can earn the fee.
Your referral credits will still be deducted in case the applicant doesn’t get hired or resign before the required time.
To send out a referral, enter your referee’s full name and email address. If a referral is deemed successful, you will be notified via email by the GCash team.
Payout
The schedule of payouts varies with every employer. See the examples below:
- 100% after 30 days
- 50% after 30 days and 50% after 90 days
- 50% after 30 days and 50% after 180 days
- 50% after 90 days and 50% after 180 days
You can check it out by tapping the i or (?) on the upper right side of the job posting.
Your friend can also refer anyone they know by sending out your sent-out referral link to others. In this case, the accumulated referral fee will be divided: the 1st-degree referrer will earn 100% of the fee, the 2nd-degree will earn 50%, and the 3rd-degree referrer will earn 25%.
