In celebration of its 172nd anniversary, BPI recently launched BPI Gold, the Bank's newest premium wealth management program, through a series of exclusive events across the country.
Driven by its mission to constantly level-up its offerings to the Bank’s cherished clients, BPI Gold was borne out of the desire to better serve a segment with particularly complex and sophisticated needs. There’s no need to apply! Existing BPI clients who meet the required relationship balance are automatically upgraded and welcomed into the exciting new BPI Gold program.
In a nod to the growing affluence beyond the metro, BPI first unveiled this newest offering in the Queen City of the South, Cebu. The Cebu launch took place at the acclaimed Mott 32, creating a perfect setting amidst its stylish interiors with elegant golden accents.
Davao, the Gateway to Mindanao, was the next destination on the agenda for BPI Gold. Here, a sumptuous afternoon cocktail event was held at the prestigious Dusit Davao Ballroom, festooned in touches of gold and black with floral tablescapes awash in golden yellow blooms.
Recently, the BPI Gold launch series wound its way back to conclude in Metro Manila. In the capital, the launch was divided into two separate cocktail affairs for the north and south segments, held respectively at multi-awarded dining destinations, Antonio’s at PGA Cars and Blackbird at the historical Nielson Tower.
To officially begin the program at every city, Ginbee Go, the dynamic Head of BPI’s Consumer Banking Group, warmly welcomed guests. "It is with much excitement that we welcome you to BPI Gold. Your membership to BPI Gold is a manifestation of our heartfelt gratitude for making BPI your trusted financial partner through the years," she enthused.
Acknowledging the presence of BPI’s valuable clients who already have access to a dedicated Relationship Manager (RM), Go went on to explain that the BPI Gold Relationship Managers are amongst the most seasoned at the bank. “Now, as a BPI Gold client, you can be assured that your RM will spend even more time with you to understand your unique needs and provide tailor-fit advice to further guide you along the path of financial wellness," she said to the delight of those in attendance.
A key highlight of the launch program in each city was a fireside chat led by Mariana Zobel de Ayala, Executive Director of Ayala Corporation in tandem with Irene Ang, Head of Personal Wealth.
Recognizing that for BPI Gold clients, "time is wealth,” Zobel de Ayala remarked, "BPI Gold is really built around the fact that we want to protect you and your time," as she unveiled the special benefits that BPI Gold clients can enjoy and would now have access to under the BPI Gold wealth management program.

Capping the official program at each event, Olga Ang, Head of BPI’s Branch Stores Channel, was called on stage to deliver the celebratory closing remarks. “I would like to extend my heartfelt gratitude to each one of you for joining us today. You can be assured that as your Trusted Financial Advisor, we will help you manage your wealth and care for your investments, so you can invest in life,“ she said. On cue, a bespoke cocktail created especially for the occasion and aptly dubbed The "Golden Crown," was passed around.
Ang then offered a heartwarming toast "to more meaningful engagements, to a steadfast relationship and an abundance of wealth you can truly enjoy with those dearest to you," amidst a sea of raised glasses.
Following the program at each of the destinations, BPI Gold clients then mingled and enjoyed an inspired experience that included musical treats, a curated selection of good eats, and gold-themed giveaways packaged in an artisanal hand-painted tote.
Perhaps BPI President and CEO TG Limcaoco summed it all up best at the last of the BPI Gold launch events held at Blackbird. "Gold signifies exceptional quality and unwavering standards.
