Globe myBusiness educates entrepreneurs on digital marketing options in online seminar
To equip small and medium enterprises (SME) with tools and knowledge to help them grow their businesses, Globe myBusiness recently held a webinar featuring experts on video creation, live events, and other digital marketing avenues.
Dubbed Digital marketing in the new normal: Exploring advertising options on how you can stand out from the digital clutter, the online gathering was part of Globe’s National G Day Celebration, in partnership with the Philippine Retailers Association (PRA).
Held via Zoom, the webinar taught some less known advertising techniques that rake in customer interest without breaking the bank. It featured experts from Globe Telecom, Globe Studios and Globe Live, who provided insights that participants can use in any stage of their entrepreneurial journey.
Retailgate Technologies Inc.’s Raphael Layosa moderated the event while PRA-Cebu Chapter president Chester Lim gave the welcome and closing remarks.
Jan Pineda, creative manager at Globe Studios, and Chyna Lo, senior creative director at Globe Studios, discussed creativity and content creation for businesses, focusing on the avenue of video for marketing purposes.
“It connects you to your audience, and informs them of your brand’s identity, personality and representation. Finally, with the analytics you can get from posting videos online, you’ll be more aware of what customers want and are paying attention to. With today’s technology, you’ll be able to do all this with minimal equipment and can make a great video even at minimal cost,” said Lo, stressing the importance of video as a medium of advertising during the pandemic.
They enumerated a few tips on how video marketing works, including keeping things short and simple, being consistent, and using the correct social media platform.
In the second talk, Sabrina Dar Santos, go-to-market and trade partnerships lead of Globe Live, and Jose Miguel del Gallego, music lead of Globe Live, discussed how to recreate live events and music using 360-degree spaces, stage recreation and digital solutions. They also gave tips, such as “putting people’s safety first, finding the right solutions, and going beyond the event day.”
Mench Dizon, business development consultant of 917 Ventures, shared her experience with Freebie MNL and talked about targeting and reaching the right base — by promoting products and offers to Globe’s base through Viber, Facebook Messenger, and the Freebie MNL website and social channels.
Dizon shared her own tips for entrepreneurs to reach markets despite the pandemic. These included managing work teams remotely, creating one’s own marketing materials, and being resourceful.
Aside from the webinar, Globe myBusiness is supporting The Great Cebu Sale, the first industry-wide virtual sale in Cebu, which will run until October 31. Customers can expect exceptional deals, promos and packages from participating brands.
