Aiko Melendez cites fitness influencer Chloe Ting as one of her secrets to dramatic weight loss
It seems like Aiko Melendez is brimming with newfound confidence after her dramatic weight loss and youthful glow.
In her Instagram post on Monday, the actress said her secrets to weight loss include a vegetarian keto diet plan, supplements, intermittent fasting, and the workout programs of Australian fitness influencer Chloe Ting.
According to Melendez, she follows the “exercise routines” of Ting since she has a busy schedule.
For people who struggle to lose weight, the actress and former politician shared these words of motivation: “But the most [i]mportant thing when you want to lose weight is “DISCIPLINE” MOTIVATION and GOAL (sic). Without those you will fail… From being size 10 [I’m] now size 6... So kung kaya ko kaya nyo dn yan (sic).”
Ting is one of the most famous fitness stars on YouTube today with 20.9 million subscribers on her self-titled channel. Her August 2019 video “Get Abs in 2 WEEKS” has gone viral since the start of quarantine with over 369 million views.
Aside from Ting’s workout videos on YouTube, she’s known for her online fitness programs such as the Get Fit Challenge, 2 Weeks Shred Challenge, and Flat Tummy Challenge.
Despite Ting’s online fame, her workout programs have been the subject of much criticism due to her use of what critics say are clickbait titles and promotion of body dysmorphic disorder.
Ting addressed the criticism in an August 2020 video where she also talked about the “malicious campaign” against her by Singaporean bodybuilder Dino Kang.
The bodybuilder has addressed an apology to the Australian YouTube star on his Instagram page in January 2021.
